After the success of her debut studio project, Tems, the breakout star of 2020, follows it up with another remarkable body of work tagged “If Orange Was A Place”.

After having such a  blissful year in 2020, with her widely acclaimed debut EP, “For Broken Ears”, hit single, “Damages and hit collaborations with Wizkid and Justin Bieber for “Essence” and Drake for “Fountains”. The Nigerian alté R&B singer-songwriter Tems brings forth another body of work tagged “If Orange Was A Place”.

If Orange Was a Place is the second (and first major label) extended play by Nigerian singer, songwriter and producer Tems. The project was released on 15 September 2021 by RCA/Since ’93, revealing that Tems had signed a recording deal with the label. It was produced primarily by GuiltyBeatz and It features a single guest appearance from American singer Brent Faiyaz.

Though with just 5 records, the album, lyrically and sonically represents an alté sound driving a new wave of African R&B, one centered on mood, expression, and originality, and one less concerned with trying to sound too familiar.
